STEAM PROJECT: Earth Science & Water

Welcome to the Goldilocks Planet Project! Learners become “artist explorers” as they investigate Earth and the Hydrosphere from the vantage point of space. Often called the Goldilocks Planet, our home world has just the right conditions for liquid water to be present on its surface. During this program, students learn how to use visual cues – The Elements of Art – to uncover the presence of water on Earth. By becoming water detectives, students hone their observational skills while contemplating the importance on water on our special planet. After the presentation, learners will put their knowledge into practice with an exciting art project.

This PowerPoint Presentation includes a in-depth investigation connecting art concepts with Earth science, geology and geography. Each of the slides includes Discussion Notes to guide the presentation and inquiry.
