Description
Writing procedures can be confusing and hard for students and it can be boring and tiresome to work on writing high quality procedures.
In this 2-3 day activities students will work through stations that consist of simple instructions that are written in a variety of ways- clear and concise to vague and confusing. Students not only do the stations but also reflect on how the directions are made. Then students will work on creating their own procedures for daily tasks in and out of school on Day 2.
Students will leave this activity with a better understanding of writing procedures in science. Included in this activity are student sheets, stations with equipment list (only basic lab equipment is needed), task cards for Day 2 and a teacher instruction sheet.
