Students will love saying goodbye to winter things and hello to spring things through poetry. The simple poem allows students to use their own experiences to create a poem. Students generate a list of winter and spring nouns and a list of synonyms for the words goodbye and hello. These words are then used create their own unique poem. This is a great mini lesson to use with nouns and synonyms.
