Go Paperless, Go Engaging, Go Media, Save Time with Google Slides.

This interactive Google Slide is a paperless activity or assessment for Patterns and Algebra

Can students continue and recognize the growing pattern?

For each of the Growing Pattern Tasks, students are asked to

Students are required to

  • Observe the pattern
  • Identify the growing pattern
  • Construct the next two terms
  • Complete the table for the first 7 terms
  • State the pattern rule
  • Find the 10th term - (you can change this to nth term)

Can students use their algebraic knowledge to create a algebraic expression that fits the growing pattern.

Includes:

  • 8 growing patterns, which require students to Continue the pattern and Complete the pattern
  • 1 Create your own pattern Task
  • 2 challenge Tasks. One of the challenges invites students to recognize a perfect square growing pattern.
  • Answer Guide

This paperless activity can be used as:

  • an assessment piece
  • manipulatives
  • lesson activity
  • review activity
  • homework
  • math center
  • distance learning

What You Need

  • This resource was created using Google Slides.
  • To use this you must have a Google email. This will give you access to your personal Google Drive and Google Classroom.
  • You will need to set up a Google Classroom for your class.

After Purchase Steps

1. Create a copy of the Google Slide

2. Organize the slides in your Google Drive

3. Assign to you students using Google Classroom. Make sure to "make a copy for each student"

4. You can also download a hard PDF and/or Powerpoint copy from Google Slides.

5. Once you make a copy, you can create more slides and edit as you please.

Easy to use during distance learning and the concept is taught well with multiple examples. I liked how there were also harder problems to help differentiate.
