This review focuses on the skills and concepts presented in the EngageNY math modules. I have created parent guides, reviews and assessments to use with my class. Feel free to revise/edit for your own use!
This review for Mid Module 3 assessment is a Valentine's Day theme. I've formatted the review worksheets (separate file) to use as posters for a group "brainstorm carousel" activity.
If you are not familiar with this activity:
1) Hang each page on a large sheet of chart paper.
2) Assign groups (4 works well). Each group gets a different color marker.
3) Students are given a certain amount of time (usually 3-5 minutes) to work in groups and solve.
4) Groups rotate to check the work of the group before them... they correct mistakes, add labels to clarify information, and/or find another strategy to solve.
