Use these real-life word problem TASK CARDS to help your students differentiate between area and perimeter. Each Task Card will ask your students to determine if area or perimeter is required to solve. Students can SORT the task cards to differentiate. This is a great activity for a math center, math workstation, or independent practice. Through these real-life WORD PROBLEMS, your students will be encourage to understand the concepts of area and relate area to multiplication and to addition which is a MAJOR cluster in 3rd Grade.
