Description

Our Comparing/Ordering Fractions and Equivalent Fractions Study Guide is inspired by 4th Grade Envision Topic 8 skills but can be used in any 4th grade math classroom! The Study Guide covers the following fraction skills: 

  • Comparing Fractions with Unlike Denominators
  • Ordering fractions (least to greatest & greatest to least)
  • Equivalent Fractions
  • Greatest Common Factor
  • Butterfly Method
  • Word Problem Problem-Solving


Questions on this test are aligned to 4.NF.A.1, 4.NF.A.2, 4.NBT.B.5, 4.OA.B.4, 4.NBT.B.6. This study guide can be used as homework, classwork or small/whole group practice for the Topic 8 assessment, or as a re-take test.

We have specifically designed this study guide review to support students who benefit from intervention and scaffolded strategies in computation and problem solving. SCAFFOLDED questions are grouped into discrete boxes for easy visual discrimination. There are 11 questions in total, and we’ve included an answer key for your convenience too.
