Description

This one page document has journal or discussion prompts for each lesson in Chapter 1 for 4th grade. Each lesson prompt is also color coded which relate to differentiated prompts based on readiness. For example, the red colored prompts are students who are above grade level and need to be challenged, the yellow prompts are on target or on grade level students, and the green prompts are for students who need further assistance.

These questions are meant to challenge students to work together to first discuss the question related to that lessons I Can statement, and then write down the answer in their math notebooks or journals.

*In our classroom, we use these prompts as one of our math stations so students get to work in their 'just right' math group to answer the question for that lesson that matches their group color.
