Grade 5: Module 4 Lesson 20 PowerPoint

The fluency section in the Eureka Math program is lengthy. My partner teacher and I created PowerPoints for 4th grade to speed it up so we could cover everything in a day. I have recently been moved to 5th grade so I have created them for the 5th grade team. The PowerPoints have the entire Fluency Practice section and Application Problem. Each slide contains the rigorous components of Eureka allowing students to focus on speed and accuracy. Throughout the Fluency Practice students can see the problems being solved step by step as they continue to work through each problem. I have also incorporated the 3Reads strategy with the Application Problems. These PowerPoint slides are editable so you can make changes to fit your classroom. You can buy each individual lesson for $2.00 or the entire module for $1.00 a lesson. Enjoy.

Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Use operations on fractions for this grade to solve problems involving information presented in line plots. For example, given different measurements of liquid in identical beakers, find the amount of liquid each beaker would contain if the total amount in all the beakers were redistributed equally.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals to hundredths, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used.
