In this unit, students will develop an understanding of computer code and learn how to create simple code themselves by using real life and relatable problems. The unit rests entirely upon on a critical thinking framework by providing students with real-life relatable word problems.

The overarching goal of this unit is to help students develop confidence, cope with challenges and think critically. These objectives reflect the goals of the new Ontario Math Curriculum by focusing on a commitment to skill-building and helping students see themselves as capable and confident math learners.
