This course combines Grade 8 Math Next Generation Standards and Algebra I Next Generation Standards and culminates in the New York State Algebra I Regents.  This course will not fully prepare grade 8 students for the New York State Grade 8 Math Exam as some grade 8 standards have been removed that are not directly linked to the Algebra I standards.  These standards were removed in order for students to be able to cover this course in one academic year.
