This is a puzzle set for a middle school math class. It is suggested that they are printed on cardstock for long term use, and if you can laminate the pages before you cut, the cards will last for years to come!
In this activity, students will be guided through:
- understanding what an exponent means
- rewrite expressions using exponents
This resource:
- can be used for a single student (can use them as just task cards) or with a partner
- pro-tip: laminate the cards so it can be used for many years
- teachers should print and cut task cards in advance and mix them up for each group
- The puzzle is offered in the answer key form and the shuffled form so students can cut and put the puzzle together!
