Grading Reflection
Share

Description

Attendance, or lack thereof, is increasingly problematic in schools. So are requests by chronically absent/late students not just to pass, but to get their grade up to an A. This tool was created to help students be more accountable to the effort they are putting forth in class, and to provide the teacher with all of the necessary information, but more importantly, the space to process the request and make the best decision without emotion. The student completes a two-sided reflection, and then the teacher has a "grading conference" form that can be used for follow-up.
