Description

Algebra I - Graph Linear Functions in Slope-Intercept Form (y=mx+b)

Common Core Aligned Lesson Plan with Homework

Day 1: Linear equations are already in slope-intercept form.

Day 2: Linear equations are not in slope-intercept form.

This lesson plan includes:

-2 Days of Lecture Notes (PDF, PowerPoint, and SMART Notebook)

-2 Days of Blank Lecture Notes (PDF and SMART Notebook)

-2 Days of Homework (PDF and Word)

-Answer Keys (PDF and Word)

You do not need to have SMART Notebook or PowerPoint to receive the full benefits of this product. There are also PDF versions included!

Lesson Objectives:

-Write and graph linear equations in slope-intercept form.

-Model real-world data with equations in slope-intercept form.

-Use graphing calculators to successfully graph linear equations.

Common Core Standards:

A.REI.10 - Understand that the graph of an equation in two variables is the set of all its solutions plotted in the coordinate plane. Often forming a curve (which could be a line).

F.IF.4 - For a function that models a relationship between two quantities, interpret key features of graphs and tables in terms of the quantities, and sketch graphs showing key features given a verbal description of the relationship.

F.IF.7a - Graph functions linear and quadratic functions and show intercepts, maxima, and minima.

S.ID.7 - Interpret the slope (rate of change) and the intercept (constant term) of a linear model in the context of the data.
