Description
ITEMS INCLUDED IN PACK:
1. 15 task cards on reading and analyzing charts and graphs
These 15 task cards were designed to help students practice reading various types of charts and graphs. Each task card has a different graph and corresponding set of 3 to 5 math questions. Students will be required to analyze the information presented on the graph and answer the questions using math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The questions and graphs vary in difficulty level. For example, some questions simply require adding or subtracting single digits, while others will require students to add, subtract, or multiply 3 or 4 digits, or even decimals.
A Student Response Sheet and an answer key are also included J
Types of graphs included on the cards include: vertical bar graphs, horizontal bar graphs, line graphs, pie charts, and tables.
Perfect for review, remediation, math center, or early-finisher activity!
2. a group-graphing activity with independent task
This activity is intended for students to complete in groups of about 10.
Students will begin by asking each question listed and recording the results on their individual papers. After the data has been collected, students can graph the results independently using one of the two correlating bar graphs included in the pack.
3. 8 task cards for interpreting and graphing data along with templates for a vertical bar graph, horizontal bar graph, line graph, and pie graph
These 8 task cards require students to read the data provided and create a graph to display the given data. The cards/graph templates have multiple uses:
• Independent practice
• Remediation
• Enrichment
• Morning work
• Math center
• Early-finisher activity
• Group activity (assign a different card to 8 small groups and have each group produce its own graph)
Simply print (on cardstock) and laminate, and you’ve got a graphing activity (with multiple uses) at your fingertips! J
Blank templates of each graph type (vertical bar graph, horizontal bar graph, line graph, and pie graph) are also provided. Answer keys are included J
