OBJECTIVE: The students will graph exponential functions and identify key features (domain, range, y-intercept).

STANDARDS:

TEKS: A.9(D)

CCSS: HSF.IF.C.7.E

ACTIVITY: Students will use these 12 jumbo task cards as independent practice or guided instruction for graphing exponential functions. Students will graph the exponential function by creating a table of values and will identify the domain and range and y-intercept of the exponential function.

Two formats are included to accommodate varying teaching styles and student needs.

I used this in my on-level Algebra 2 class as an in-class practice for graphing as we went through the lesson. Students were able to see one graphing as a group and then do several in their small groups to demonstrate their knowledge. It also allowed for a few practice problems for homework.
