Description

This concise, to the point and no-prep exponential functions lesson is a great way to teach & introduce how to graph exponential functions and identify its key features such as domain and range, y-intercept, and asymptote to your students. These notes include two examples where students graph the exponential function and identify the key features, and another three examples where the graphs are given. Students and teachers love how easy these notes are to follow and understand.

These notes get straight to the point of the skill being taught, which I have found is imperative for the attention span of teenagers! They are also a great tool for students to refer back to.

This product (PDF) includes

Relate the domain of a function to its graph and, where applicable, to the quantitative relationship it describes. For example, if the function 𝘩(𝘯) gives the number of person-hours it takes to assemble 𝘯 engines in a factory, then the positive integers would be an appropriate domain for the function.
Distinguish between situations that can be modeled with linear functions and with exponential functions.
Prove that linear functions grow by equal differences over equal intervals, and that exponential functions grow by equal factors over equal intervals.
