Description
In this resource your students will have the opportunity to digitally collect data from their classmates using Google Forms, export that data into Google Sheets and then turn that information into an infographic.
Included in this resource:
- 3 videos instructing students how to create a Google Form, view the results, and create graphs in Google Sheets
- Trackers for students to see who has responded to their survey and who's survey they have responded to
- Instructions on how to create an infographic
- Infographic examples
Teacher instructions (also included in the resource):
- Students will be prompted to create 3 survey questions for their classmates. They will brainstorm the survey questions on the slide.
- Students will watch a video teaching them how to use Google Forms to create a survey.
- Students will share their survey with you (the teacher).
- This next step is important and can be altered to suit your class. On slide 8 (student slide 5) there is a link to another slide. This link will prompt you to make a copy. On this slide you will input a list of student names and insert their Google Forms links. If you feel that you students are able to, you can also have your students insert the link of their own. Please make sure your share settings in that link are adjusted accordingly. **Make sure that you have edited student slide 5 to include the link where they can find all the Google Forms.
- 5. Before completing slides 9 and 10 (students slide 6 and 7) fill out the names of all the students in your class.
- 6. Once they have received all their data, students will watch a video on how to see their classmates responses.
- They will then watch a video on how to put those responses into Google Sheets and how to create a graph in Google Sheets.
- When their graphs are complete, students will create an infographic on their data.
These slides are EDITABLE and can be adjusted to suit the needs of your class.
