Description

This worksheet of 12 equations require students to graph logs with bases of 2 or 3 and various transformations (vertical stretch, reflections, horizontal and vertical shifts). Students can either make a t-chart of “nice” points or use inverses to re-write the equation in exponential form. When each function is graphed, students find the letter the graph passes through to fill in the riddle’s answer. This is a fun review activity that can be used at any time, but especially in the winter, such as December, January, or February. This activity is appropriate for Algebra 2 or Precalculus students, and a full answer key is included.

Students enjoyed solving the riddle and were really into finding the solution. Some of the jumbled up responses were funnier than the actual riddle itself!
