Description

This test is designed for Algebra 2 or Precalculus students. The required concepts and procedures for the test are as follows.

  1. Basic knowledge of polynomial functions
  2. Implications of degree and leading coefficient including
    1. End behavior
    2. Roots
    3. Multipilcity
    4. Turning Points
  3. Finding all roots from factorable polynomial functions
  4. Trinomials in quadratic form
  5. Sum and difference of cubes
  6. Quadratic formula
  7. Factoring quadratic equations
  8. One problem involves u substitution for a trinomial in quadratic form
  9. How to write a complex number

The test is 6 pages long, with plenty of white space for clarity in instruction and room to write (for students). The structure is laid out in a way that is very easy to grade. The quiz includes a grading rubric (for the paper copy), or you can use a copy in Google forms that is graded automatically.

The quiz in Google forms provides students with immediate feedback and remediation information on problems that might have confused them. This allows students to learn from their mistakes.

The link to the Google quiz is in the answer key, along with instructions.
