Description

This resource, for Algebra through Pre-Calculus, is a project in which students will find a polynomial regression line using Desmos that fits a picture of their choice and then identify multiple polynomial key features from their graph. Through this project based learning (PBL) activity, students display their understanding of polynomial key features in a unique and artistic way. See the preview to view the full resource.

The following polynomial key features are included on this project:

  • Domain & Range
  • End Behavior (using proper notation)
  • Zeros/X-Intercepts & Y-Intercept
  • Maximums & Minimums
  • Increasing & Decreasing Intervals
  • Positive & Negative Intervals

This resource includes:

  • Project Info & Teacher Guide/Notes
  • Student Directions for Project
  • Grading Rubric
  • 4 Project Examples

In my own classroom, students complete a project every marking period. The projects are routinely my students' favorite part of class because it allows them to creatively display their understanding!
