Description
This document is a collection of educational math worksheets designed to teach students how to plot data on graphs. It is divided into two main sections:
1. Bar Graphs (Pages 1–5, Questions 1–10)
- The Task: Students are given a data table listing five types of fruit (Peaches, Apples, Pears, Oranges, Plums) and a corresponding number for each. They must fill in the bar chart above the data to match the numbers.
- The Scale: The Y-axis (vertical) ranges from 0 to 100 in increments of 10.
- Suggested Titles for these Graphs: Since the "Graph Title" line is blank, students need to invent one. Good options would be:
- Fruit Stand Inventory
- Weekly Fruit Sales
- Students' Favorite Fruits
- Harvest Yields
2. Line Graphs (Pages 6–12, Questions 11–17)
- The Task: Students are given a data table listing the Months of the Year (January–December) and a data point for each. They must plot dots for each month and connect them to create a line graph showing a trend over time.
- The Scale: The Y-axis ranges from 0 to 99.9 in increments of 11.1.
- Suggested Titles for these Graphs: Because line graphs usually show change over time, good titles would be:
- Average Monthly Temperature
- Monthly Rainfall in Inches
- Store Customers per Month
- Yearly Savings Growth
3. Answer Keys (Pages 13–24)
- The second half of the PDF contains the Answer Keys, showing the completed visual graphs for every question listed in the first half.
