Description

Buy this bundle and save 20%! This seasonal activity engages your students in collecting data by picking and replacing the letters of a word in a paper lunch bag until all the letters have been picked. Then they use their collected data to complete a bar graph and answer questions. There are 3 seasonal, holiday, or national day words included for each month of the year, for a total of 36. Some words such as friends could be used at any time of the year. Each word or words contains between 5 and 10 letters. If a letter is repeated within a word, this is denoted with subscripted numbers. For example, puddles will have d1 and d2. There are 6 pages to accompany each word. These are color letter tiles, black and white letter tiles, a tally table for collecting data, a bar graph to show the collected data, a bar graph (suitable for second and third grades) that requires writing the title, labeling the axes, and labeling the bars, and a page of questions for interpreting the graph. Student directions have been included in color and black/ gray/ white. There are 224 usable pages in this resource. Check out my FREE SAMPLE of this data collection and graphing activity.
