Description

This graphing pack can be used for homework, classwork, or graphing centers and includes 16 half-sheets that are specifically aligned to 3.MD.3 and 3.MD.4. However, it would also be good for any classroom practicing and/or reviewing pictographs, bar graphs, and line plots.

This homework comes with a PDF version and an editable version so that changes can be made if necessary. I feel homework should closely align what is done in the classroom, so having an editable version available was important to me.

**I have also included a Google Slides version - I saved each image as a background so students can't accidentally erase any part of the sheet. Then, I put red text boxes, circles, etc for students to use with their answers. I upload one sheet at a time to my Google Classroom and it works beautifully!

There are two half-sheets to a page, so if you print this front to back, you will have 4 nights of homework on one page!

This homework shouldn't take students much time to complete, and the examples provided on some of the pages will provide explanations to parents who are helping their child.

If used in the class, this would make great center work since each sheet is short.

Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
Generate measurement data by measuring lengths using rulers marked with halves and fourths of an inch. Show the data by making a line plot, where the horizontal scale is marked off in appropriate units-whole numbers, halves, or quarters.
