Description
Looking for a fun and engaging activity to help students who are working with graphing trigonometric functions? The following task cards are a great way for students to check their progress on the conceptual understandings of the graphs of trig functions (sine & cosine only). Students will identify trig graphs and equations with changes to amplitude, frequency, period, and midline.
The task cards include a QR code so students are able to receive immediate feedback as they write equations of trigonometric functions based on a graph.
What’s included?
- 20 Task Cards (with or without QR codes)
- Student recording sheet
- Answer key
Do your students need repetition of a specific skill? This activity provides the opportunity for students to practice writing equations of trig graphs in a fun way.
Do you want students to get out of their seats? Hang up the task cards around the classroom. This gives students the opportunity to move around the room as they complete the task cards.
The best part? Students will have fun while learning.
Using it in the classroom:
You can choose how you want to implement these cards in your everyday lessons, but they are recommended as formative assessments at the end of your daily lessons. You can have students do all the cards or you can rotate them between groups of students.
