This unit is designed to be used alongside literature circles with only an initiating and culminating lesson. It also contains an extensive multi-level book list, related prompts, and an interactive 20 question quiz (PPT). The initiating activity involves a movie and writing while the culminating is a simulation activity involving math. This unit also contains alternative forms of the PowerPoint quiz: simple word document and Quizlet link. While the activities included will only take 2-3 days of writing or social studies time, the entire unit could take 2-4 weeks if used with literature circles.
