Description

The main goal of this project is to tie together the many different ideas and scientific principles we have learned about. I have included a list of 36 different scientists that have greatly influenced the way in which we live.

The list starts with Philosphers such as Anaximander, Plato and Aristotle, and ends with those scientist whom are still alive today; Stephen Hawking, James Dewey Watson and Tim Berners-Lee.

I use this project as an end of the year activity in which each student gets to pick a scientist off the list and create a poster on them. The students will follow the rubric provided and make sure to cover the topics necessary.

In the past, students have presented in front of the class as the class took notes on the major accomplishments. This year, I am having the posters set out on the table tops and each students will walk around and gahter information that way with a note sheet I provided.

I put this as a 2 hour project with 60-90 minutes being spent in a computer lab or llibrary, and 30 to put the poster together.

I hope you enjoy this assignment as much as I do.

Thank you!
