Description
GROUP CHALLENGE TASK CARDS: These task cards are are designed to build skills in a fun and engaging way. You can use them when you have a little time to fill, when you want to have a brain break, or when you want to review the skills that the challenges cover. They allow students to work together and to learn from each other as they complete each task. There are four different categories for the challenges: grammar, poetry/figurative language, vocabulary and research.
If you like, you can make these challenges an on-going occurrence. Use the cards provided to record how many challenges each group has won. Once they win a certain number, they can get a prize. Prizes could be candy, a night off homework or, if it’s allowed in your school, let them leave class early one day.
I have included a page of “backs” for your cards, in case you would like to laminate and save them. There is also an editable file, so you can add to the challenges.
