Description
Use this activity to help students realize real life transformations on a graph on the classroom floor using tiles.
Place tape (I used painter's tape) on the floor of your classroom utilizing your tiles as your coordinate plane. Have students make their own rule for each transformation. Using utility cords or string, have them stand on their coordinate points, make their shape and then "play out" their transformation. Have the other students try to figure out what the transformation was for each group.
