This product was created by Alison Meeks to use in her kindergarten classroom. Students will use this game during whole group math instruction, small group guided math instruction, and during small independent math stations. Students will have the opportunity to identify numerals, order numerals, and work addition problems to identify sums and notice that different facts can have the same sums. Students will match flower petals to build or "grow" a flower as they show different ways that sums can be represented. Number sense is a major part of the Common Core State Standards for math, and this game will give students a lot of practice in that area!
