Similar to head's up. This fun game helps connect phonemic awareness with phonics skills utilizing elkonin boxes.
How to play:
1. Have the student pick up the card and hold it to their forehead without looking at it.
2. Provide the student with the sounds in the word
3. Have them blend the sounds together to make the word
4. Have the student seperate the word by it's phonemes in the boxes.
5. Have the student right the word on the line.
6. Continue playing until all the boxes are full.
To make the game last longer, laminate the sheet so it can easily be erased and reused.
