Description
hese math mats are designed to help you teach and reinforce several addition and subtraction strategies outlined by the Common Core:
~ Counting On
~ Counting Back
~ Make a Ten
~ Part-Part-Whole
~ Break Numbers into Tens & Ones
~ Decompose to 10
~ Doubles Plus or Minus One
For each strategy, there is a full-page mat for teachers to use to demonstrate the strategy as well as a page with 2-3 smaller mats for students. The student mats can be used as part of the "we do" aspect of whole/small group instruction. They can also be used in conjunction with any worksheet or math center activity. This allows students to generalize the strategies you've taught them using dry erase markers and manipulatives. You can also send them home so your students' parents will better understand how to help their children with math homework. All you have to do is print on cardstock and laminate!
Let me know if you have any questions - thanks!

Feedback
Feedback on paid resources translates to TpT credits for you, so be sure you leave feedback on all resources you purchase! I don't mind constructive criticism at all, I just ask that you be as specific as possible so I know what changes need to be made in the next revision. I'm a perfectionist, so trust me, there's always going to be a "next revision"!
