Description

This is a fun two-day guided reading lesson plan for the book - It's Spring.

  • The lesson plan includes instructions and a script for before, during, and after reading the book each day.
  • This resource also includes multiple types of reading level indicators (Lexile; DRA; Step; Guided Reading).
  • Each lesson ends with an independent writing assignment that can be used as an assessment:
    • Day One - Word Sort graphic organizer for the digraph OW: long ō and ou sounds. (An answer key is included for the Word Sort.)
    • Day Two - Students write a short poem and practice using rhyming words.

These lessons are thorough and include all the details you need to teach this lesson well and make it fun for you and your students!
