Lisa is an experienced New Zealand educator with over 25 years of experience in teaching and specialist support roles. With a diverse background in education, she has worked as a specialist education teacher, classroom teacher, Deputy Principal, Literacy Leader, Head of Department, and Reading Recovery Teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Teaching), a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership, a Postgraduate Diploma in Resource Teacher: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB), and specialist training in Reading Recovery.
With extensive experience as a Literacy Leader, Lisa has deep expertise in structured literacy, reading comprehension, and the Science of Reading. She has supported both students and teachers in developing strong, evidence-based literacy practices, with a particular focus on learners who experience difficulty accessing the curriculum.
Through her resources, Lisa aims to empower educators with high-quality, practical tools that strengthen reading and writing instruction, support inclusive classroom practice, and help every child become a confident, capable reader and writer.
