This product is designed to teach readers during guided reading to not only read, but look for text – based evidence while they answer questions. The passages and questions are simple, yet develop essential skills.

This packet contains 10 guided reading books (nonfiction & fiction) multiple choice & true false questions, and a drawing reflection to accompany each book. There are interactive notebook questions that are created specifically for each book. Word work activities are provided to conclude each guided reading session.

This may be the first interaction a child has with comprehension questions, so take time to review how to answer questions. We teach our students to read the questions first so they know what to look for while they read.

ELA.RL.1.1 - Ask and answer questions about key details in a text.
