Description
Are you looking for a virtual study or self-guided study for students? Look no further! These PDF documents allows students to click links that will take them to youtube videos, virtual field trips, and read-alouds that will teach them about 8 different habitats! In addition, there is a facts section for each habitat that will provide students with a solid foundation of facts pertaining to the Temperate Grasslands!
Habitats:
- Desert
-Temperate Grassland
-Tropical Grassland
-Temperate Forest
-Rain Forest
-Tundra
-Wetland
-Ocean
Personally, I have older students copy down the facts in their science journals, and draw a model of the habitat.
Included- Habitat Model FREE RESOURCE to accompany this product.
Additional Computer Science Extension:
Students use a coding application to build a virtual model of their habitat. Students select or digitally draw a background depicting their habitat. They also include various plants and animals that would inhabit their habitat. Lastly, ask the students to code/program their animals to move around their created habitat.
I personally recommend using Scratch Jr. (app-based), Scratch (web-based), or Tynker (app-based).
K-2nd grade- Scratch Jr.
3rd-4th Grade- Scratch
4th-8th grade- Tynker
