Designed for PE, Health & Science teachers, Homeschool moms/teachers, this resource provides students with an easy to understand, step-by-step project guide to explore key health, nutrition, and fitness concepts, conduct research, and present findings in a creative and fun way.

This research project can easily be used with upper elementary and middle school students (4th-8th grade). This 2-Page Resource includes: EASY-TO-FOLLOW Step-by-step instructions for students, Engaging & Creative Research Options, and a Simple Rubric with Checklist. It's all done for you - just hand to your students and let them get busy!

There are so many possible ways that this simple yet versatile resource can be used. Individually or with groups, this research project can be used as:

-ALTERNATIVE (or Opt-Out) ASSIGNMENT for students who are sick or injured and can't participate in PE or HEALTH Class

-END-OF-UNIT CULMINATING ACTIVITY OR ASSESSMENT (Exit Ticket)

-GROUP PROJECT Create teams of students & use to assess student knowledge

-HOMESCHOOL PARENTS or COACHES

-ONLINE ASSIGNMENT for students who are going on vacation or must miss school for other reasons

I have also used this as an alternative project as an Opt-Out assignment for students who have opted out of reproductive health class.

Additionally, it works perfectly for students who must miss health or PE class due to illness or injury.

It is a fun and interesting research project that empowers students to creatively take ownership of their learning and deepen their understanding of health and fitness.
