If the President of the United States can Tweet his thoughts everywhere on everything and the news just can't get enough of it them so can you. A a teacher, I just don't have the time to waste on tweeting about things that don't really matter but my students sure seem to care. Here is a way to make the chapter more relevant to them. Hey, it has worked for me and my history class. I have used this for several chapters over the year.

The negativity toward the President is NOT something I will teach to my students or kids. "If he can find time to waste his day Tweeting about any and everything" doesn't belong in an otherwise great idea for an activity. Rather, I would have liked this without the jab.

I'm a huge fan of Twitter, and I love including bits of social media in my lessons whenever I can. Thank you for creating this activity...love it! It can be used for any grade level, any subject. We are reading Romeo and Juliet right now in English 9, this activity will definitely help students sum up the events of each scene within the 5 acts. Also, it will match our Twitter bulletin board that includes tweets the main characters would have sent to one another. Thank you!
