Description
This bundle includes 35+ Google Slides presentations over the comprehension skills presented in the HMH Into Reading Curriculum for 3rd grade. This can be used all year, as it includes question sets all the way from Module 1, week 1 (Marisol McDonald Doesn't Match) to Module 10, week 3 (Compay Mono & Comay Jicotea). Some of the sets include extra questions over other skills, as well (e.g. inferencing, genre, etc.).
PLEASE READ: By purchasing the bundle, you are receiving the files within this set at a 30% discount or more! As additional files are added (the curriculum has two passages for most weeks, but the bundle currently only has files for one passage per week), the price of the bundle will increase accordingly. By purchasing the bundle at the current price, you will receive future files in this bundle for free!
***Several of the selections overlap with science and social studies topics, and, even if you don't have the HMH curriculum, these passages can all be either bought separately or found online as a read aloud.
The weekly presentations vary slightly but the most common approach is 10-20 multiple choice questions per passage. All presentations contain answer slides at the end for all question types.
These presentations can be used in many different ways! Here are a few:
- Whole-group style on the board to check for understanding while reading the passage or as a review at the end/end of unit.
- Print (2 or 4 slides per page even) for small group reteaching with those students who need a little more time spent with these skills/stories.
- Slides (without answers) can be printed for students to complete for a quiz/grade!
- Assign it digitally/virtually for them to answer and check their own answers at the end.
- Delete the definitions and answer slides and assign it to them on a digital platform as a digital quiz. (They would just need to be able to circle/highlight the answers)
Hope this makes your life and teaching easier :)
P.S. Did you know that you can earn a small credit to your TPT account by rating/reviewing your purchases? I'd be ever so grateful if you'd return to give me some feedback; and, hey, every penny counts when it comes to funding our classrooms, right? Much love!
