Description

Each weekly set includes:

  • Targeted vocabulary words with a corresponding vocabulary quiz
  • Matching activities to reinforce word recognition and meaning
  • Self-check cards for independent practice
  • Fill-in-the-blank sentence activities, which can be used as task cards
  • A comprehension story that incorporates all vocabulary words in context
  • A comprehension quiz to assess understanding

As a special education teacher, I design and implement engaging, accessible vocabulary activities tailored to the needs of Special Education and English as a New Language (ENL) students. These students often face challenges with grade-level texts, so I’ve developed a structured vocabulary routine that supports comprehension and builds confidence.

To further support student learning, all activities are embedded with context clues to promote deeper understanding and retention. These resources have become a reliable and enjoyable part of my classroom routine, helping students engage with language in meaningful ways.
