Description

This study guide for the whole of the English Advanced HSC has a specific set of textual foci, so please make sure the texts align with your studies prior to purchase. Individual Modules are available, and there is a free resource (composed of elements of this document) that covers the English Advanced HSC in general, as well as key skills such as a concise method of textual analysis and vocabulary.

Within the document, there is:

  • A section-by-section breakdown of each Module, including the purpose of the module in the HSC, the composition of that part of the paper, and tips for how to approach each section.
  • Visual, colour-coded breakdowns of each rubric.
  • Concise tables covering rubric elements, techniques that align with those elements, and the effect of those techniques.
  • Detailed study guides for each Module focusing on the following texts with techniques, summaries, and quote banks.
  • Common Module - Texts and Human Experiences - The Crucible
  • Module A - Textual Conversations - The Tempest and Hag-Seed
  • Module B - Critical Study of Literature - Earth Hour
  • Module C - The Craft of Writing - A Home in Fiction and What Time Is It, Where You Are Now?
  • An additional Appendix section with essential HSC skills applicable to each module, including a thesis formula, a simple approach to ensuring clear analysis, and a large bank of vocabulary broken into relevant HSC areas such as making an evaluation, analysing creative and structural choices, and exploring contextual impact and meaning..

All my materials are personally developed through tried and true testing in HSC classes. No AI is used in the production or editing of these resources, and the low price is to ensure accessibility to students. The HSC is hard enough without people trying to financially profit off of it.
