Included are:
- 1 assignment with rubric and links to videos that walk the students through the assignment
- Questions that go with the assignment for students to do some critical thinking
- Finish example of the assignment for you to compare to your students.
In this assignment, you the teacher will be teaching students the very basics of HTML. I designed these assignments for teachers to teach it WITH 0 HTML EXPERIENCE. With that in mind, the assignment is entirely video based and is built around Spongebob to grab student interest. It will walk students through 85% of it. The reasoning behind that lies within my core philosophy which is that life will not give you all of the answer you have to go out and find them. You have to REACH for them using critical thinking skills.
The REACH goals are incredibly attainable and can simply be done with a little bit of research. This will truly show who deserves the A vs “just giving good grades.” I have also attached a finished example of what 85% of the assignment looks like. You can judge the rest using the rubric. Have fun and watch the students enjoy!
In addition to that, there are questions to go along with the assignment to provoke critical thinking instead of "just watching videos."

Great resource. Definitely made my life easier :)
This may have been too advanced for someone who is new to coding.
Good resource.
Students enjoyed this activity. Some students had trouble with completing if they had a MAC. But love the finished products.
