Description
Description
Keep students engaged with extension activities all year. This challenge board is ready to be customized with student names and aliases. The alias allows students to compete anonymously. Adding challenges are helpful for the 'what do I do now student' in your classroom. Students love competing and what better way then with extension activities for your content or technology.
Recipe:
Students can select which extension activities to complete during the year. I prefer locating the challenges on Google Classroom as you can set a due date for later in the year. It also allows students to go back to an earlier extension activity that to complete. It is recommended that you create a Google Classroom for each class period you have as it will make checking the extension activities easier.
It is easy to add challenges and points on the spreadsheet. Add as little or as many challenges as you want. You choose the location of the challenge - Google Classroom, Schoology, paper, etc. and you determine the points. Time needed is approximately 30 minutes to set up student names and aliases at the start, then 30 minutes or less each month to review completed challenges and update the spreadsheet.
Key Ingredients:
- I leaderboard ready to customize with student aliases and names
- 1 1st Challenge Card
- 4 Sheets in workbook
- Share the green tabs with students
- The red tabs are for teachers only
This activity is a great way to add extension activities for your students to keep their minds sharp. I pour a ton of love and dedication into making technology lesson as delicious as possible.
Happy delicious tech-ing!
