As Halloween approaches, you can feel the energy level and excitement growing in our classes! Keep them moving and counting with Halloween Counting Cardio!
Directions:
- Go over the Exercises first so that your kids know how to do them properly. Don't forget to stretch! A PDF of the exercises is included.
- Count the Room: Use the Count the Room PDF file to print off the picture cards and post them around the room. Kids will use the recording sheet on a clipboard to count and record the number on the picture card. After they record the number, they will do that many number reps of the exercise posted. ***Added: recording sheets for 1 more and 1 less
- Slideshow: Project the PDF or Power Point onto your screen or whiteboard. Slides are not editable but they can be moved around in Power Point to change the order of the slides. Students will count the pictures and call out the answer. Recording sheet is optional. The answer will appear on the next slide so they can get immediate feedback. If kids missed the number, go back to the previous slide and discuss strategies for counting. The next slide will show an exercise. Do that number of exercises!
