I wanted to do this activity so badly because it seems awesome, but it just wasn't a resource that I could reasonably work with my students. When I purchased it, I thought that the link for using it on Seesaw would lead me to an activity directly on that platform. Instead it was a tutorial on how to add a link to google docs through Seesaw. That was probably more my own misunderstanding than anything else and I should have read the description more clearly. My first graders have zero knowledge or access to google classroom, google slides or PowerPoint and teaching them how to use it for a single Halloween assignment isn't practical. It's a shame because when I tried it out myself it was seriously fun! I bet the kids would have gotten a kick out of it.

Hello! I am sorry you thought you'd get a direct Seesaw link! In my description, I mention it is a Google Slide and PowerPoint resource, which can be assigned through Seesaw. Since this is an interactive PowerPoint/Google Slide that self-corrects, Seesaw doesn't have the tools to make it directly for Seesaw =/ I will say though that the video tutorial to get your students to use it in Google Slide works beautifully. Due to it not requiring any editing, students do not need to sign in at all to a Google account. I would gladly help walk you through this through phone call, Skype, or Google Meet if you'd like! You can email me at customerservice@firstthinkers.com to set it up. Thank you for your review!

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Solve addition and subtraction word problems, and add and subtract within 10, e.g., by using objects or drawings to represent the problem.
Decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each decomposition by a drawing or equation (e.g., 5 = 2 + 3 and 5 = 4 + 1).
Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 - 4 = 13 - 3 - 1 = 10 - 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 - 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).
