Great Halloween Activity for October! Fantastic for Common Core Math. Spiral the math standards using this one week PBL for grades 3, 4, 5. Differentiation and student voice and choice is built in! It includes a teacher guide walking you through each step. Differentiation and student choice is built into all of my PBLs!
Are your students so excited about Halloween that they can't seem to concentrate on their work? This project will get them out of their seats, happily practicing the Math they've learned this year! Students will put their Math skills to work planning their very own Halloween party, using the guests of their choosing.
Apply The following skills (differentiated for 3 grade levels, so not all skills need to be used at your grade level):
- Addition and Subtraction
- Multiplication & Division
- Converting Between Feet & Inches
- Graphing Area in Square Units (whole numbers or fractions)
- Decimal Operations (5th) - Whole Number alternative for grades 3-4
