Description

Your students will be engaged while solving sixteen Halloween themed word problems. Problems were created based upon real world facts, Halloween characters and some great authors. The scavenger hunt resource can be used in a variety of ways. Scatter cards around the room or copy pages for partner practice.

Students are asked to solve a problem and then search around the room for the answer to the problem. Once they find it, they complete the next problem listed on the card. The types of questions include:

✓ fractions
✓ decimals
✓ percents
✓ unit rate
✓ average (mean)
✓ perimeter
✓ probability
✓ geometry
✓ measurement

A student answer document is included along with an answer key. At the end of the student answer document, there is an opportunity for students to create their own Halloween word problem.
