Dive into this one and two-digit addition math task with and without regrouping called Cash Out: Halloween Edition! Your students are tasked with calculating the sum of receipts with up to four addends to 100 since the cash registers are broken!

This math task 8 thin slicing tasks for single-digit, single and double-digit, and double-digit addition problems with carefully chosen numbers to elicit different addition strategies and will save you time! This Building Thinking Classrooms style math task is no prep but rich in creating an engaging and immersive mathematical experience for your students!

In this task, your students are about to start as cashiers at the Halloween Decorations store but the cash registers are broken! They will have to calculate the sum of the total of each customer by hand. There are 3 versions you can use! One-digit addition, one and two-digit addition or double-digit addition with and without regrouping.

As they work through the receipts, the numbers get more challenging and your students have the opportunity to add up to 4 addends! 

Here's what you'll get:
