Description

NEW! JUST POSTED! Happy Cat Compare the Numbers! Your students will enjoy these cheerful and colorful kitties as they practice comparing numbers and values through a differentiated activity. The activities in this download support the 2nd Grade Common Core Math Standard: CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.NBT.A.4. The differentiated activities are designed to help students compare two three-digit numbers based on meanings of the hundreds, tens, and ones digits, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
They will sort cards on a work mat and record their comparisons. This math tub is tiered according to the Common Core Standards for grade 2 but first and third grade teachers could use these as well. Tier 1 is designed to compare two digit numbers to 99. Tier 2 compares three digit numbers to 999. Tier 3 compares four digit numbers to 9,999. Needs of all students can be met with these levels. With this packet you will receive 28 pages that include:

1. EQ Poster (Essential Question Poster)
2. Math Tub Pretest and Answer Key
3. Math Tub Task Card
4. Teacher Instructions for Activity
5. Differentiated Math Tub Activities
6. Student Recording Forms and Answer Keys
