In this unit, students will explore Grade 3 math concepts such as place value, understanding fractions and using greater than/less than/equal to symbols all while learning about food and balanced nutrition. This unit includes a PowerPoint presentation complete with lessons from the math and health curriculums and worksheets to accompany the lessons. At the end of the unit, students can demonstrate their knowledge through the final assessment idea: planning the foods at their birthday party.
